“V2 rockets are coming Sir”

It’s been now for two posts i’m talking about that V2, and i realise I didn’t do any “sneak peak” about it at all…

So what you should prepare yourself for:

iPhone side:
-Manual app addition
In case of you have some of them in an other folder than /Applications or if you use a USB/FireWire/Network external HDD
-Web shortcuts
With all that “WebApp” mood there is these days on the internet, it would be a shame not to include them in iLaunch, wouldn’t it? So welcome to WebApps! (Will also work for your friend’s blog, of course…)

Server side:
-Brand new, sleek, easy-to-use interface
-Pairing will be much easier!
No need for password or ports or whatever you needed before. Just disconnect the security on the server and select the computer from your iPhone “And Boom!” you’re connected, and the security is back in place on the server, in case of user-distraction (and mainly… because of mine).

All of that will be free for existing customers (no in-app purchase this time) and it will be available in October.
The iPhone app will be more expensive when in V2, so buy now and be eligible for all future new features for free!

You can tell we’re listening to our customers: pretty much eveything you ask is in this V2… except what you will find in the V3 of course!

You were dreaming about the ability to use iLaunch at work or simply at your mate’s who are not apple-converted (yet)?

Good news for you ladies and gentlemen: the server is being adapted to Uncle Bill’s OS (XP/Vista/se7en).

The encounter is doing well: the server is already able do list all the apps from “start/programs” menu, sorting it by letter and communication with the app is beginning…
For 72 hours of cumulated work, that’s a pretty good start!

On the graphical integration side, it has been decided the app will be next to the clock in the task bar.

This Windows-compatible version should be available as soon as a couple of weeks!

And I promise: it’ll worth the wait!

Version 1.9 of iLaunch for iOS available on the AppStore

On 9 September 2010, in Development, by Pof Magicfingers

What’s new?
-A big bunch of bugs as been eradicated
-Performance boost
-Possibility to get 128 icons via an in-app purchase (0.99$). Only power users will have to pay that premium, for the others 16 icons will be enough.
-Page navigation or non-magnetic scroll when 128 icon option is activated

Enjoy these new features/optimisations and for those who did’nt buy the app yet, be aware that v2 will be a bit more expensive (price not defined yet) to support increased development costs we suffered to solve problems with Leopard, mainly on PPC.
